Hello everyone! Once again
I have neglected my blog posts! I always wish to have a least two to three
posts a week but in reality, school, work, and life just take precedent
sometimes. This weekend I left DC to head back to New York! My boyfriend and I
got in the car and took a road trip to Long Island to spend the holiday with
his family. As most of you already know, I also live in New York but my family
was currently out of town so it just made sense to celebrate Easter in Long
Island and make some new fun traditions.
We headed out of the city
Thursday evening and got in very late. Although we were exhausted we had all
day Friday to relax and do whatever we wanted to do. With that being said, I
dragged my boyfriend to Lord and Taylor! I’ve been on the hunt for a few
dresses! On Friday Lord and Taylor was having an excellent sale! The entire
store was 25% off and when you checked out the register took off another $20!
It was such a good deal and I purchased everything I needed. Stay tuned for a
future blog post about these items! We also decided to hit up all of our favorite food locations! New York really does have the best pizza and bagels!
On Saturday my boyfriend,
his family, and I decided to do something different yet fun! We headed to the
North Fork, which is where Long Island houses the majority of their wineries.
Wow oh wow did we have a fun time! We went to about three different wineries,
one brewery, and a sparkling wine location. At each place we tried different
flights, enjoyed the scenery outside, and made a few purchases. My favorite
locations were the Pindar winery. Not only was the wine delicious but also the
outside scenery was beautiful. We packed lunches and ate on the wineries deck,
which over looked the grape trees. Sparkling Pointe was also another favorite
location of mine! Sparkling Pointe focused on sparkling wine. I love anything
bubbly so the different drinks really suited my palate. This location was also
beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice!

After a full day of drinking
and eating delicious foods, we were all looking forward to a relaxing Easter
holiday. We attended a lovely mass, went on an Easter run, and cooked food for
the majority of the day. It was a lot of fun to wind down and reflect on the
holiday. Although I was not with my immediate family I was grateful that my
boyfriend and his family welcomed me with open arms this weekend.
Overall it was a fantastic
weekend! As much as I love DC I also love and miss New York. I am looking
forward to going back again soon! I hope you all also had a fantastic Easter
weekend!
Cheers,
L
